This post outlines how to use a Punchdown Tool (110) to install a Leviton Cat 5e Network Jack and the decommission of the associated box that you could put it in. Prerequisites:  - Punchdown Tool (110) - Leviton Cat5e Gigamax Network Jack - Cat5e+ Network Cable  Removing the Jack from the Box: 1. Apply some pressure removing the back piece from the front overlay on the box. 2.  This will reveal the inside of the Box, flip it over so you can get access to the back tab and apply pressure to release the Jack from the box. Adding/Removing Cable from the Jack: 1. Take off the top cover from the Jack 2. This will reveal the pin-outs, using a 110 Tool you can push your new cable in, or simply remove the old cabling that has been installed. 3. The color coding is marked along the bottom of the Jack depending if you are T568A or T568B. Typically I use T568A being in North America.

This document outlines how to install a Simplex Door Lock (Touchpad 4 Digit) on a blank door frame. Requirements: Simplex Lock Door to install it on. Basic Tools Steps: 1. Install the tab on the door that is used to hold the door closed between itself and the frame with some simple screws. 2. Install the External facing piece, routing the cabling for the battery under the mechanism of the tab. 3. Install the plastic internal facing piece to the door with a simple screw. 4. Connect the wire from the External Facing Piece and the plastic internal facing piece with a simple screw, allowing now for the External piece to have power and accept data entry. 5. Install the internal metal piece (actual door piece) using two simple screws connecting now all three pieces with the door.

This document will outline the removal of a typical door handle. You will need a small flat blade, or a bobby pin to apply pressure on certain points of the uninstall. Steps: 1. Find the inside of the door handle, and along the inside of the door nob itself, there is a little metal piece that can be pressed in which releases the door nob. 2. There will then be a covering over the mechanism between the door and the handle mechanism which can be just turned clockwise and popped off. 3. Then you will the rest of the handling mechanism and the device holding the inside door pieces to the door, simply take out two screws and it'll come off. 4. This post will outline the steps associated with installing a RJ45 (Cat 5e) Wall Jack using Beldin Wall jack. Parts List: Cat 5e or Better Cabling Belden PS5E BIX DVO Outlet Nordix Punch-down Tool Steps: 1. Start with a basic Cat 5E Ethernet Cable 2. Cut cable back approximately .5 inches, which gives you enough room to pull on the thread back. 3. Make a small incision on the shielding which allows you to pull back the thread further. Do not use the associated .5 inches on the end portion of the Belden as you do not know if you accidentally cut the wire. 4. Pull back on the thread, revealing more of the cable up to 2 inches worth. 5. Clip off the shielding and the thread used to cut back the shielding. 6. Open up the container holding the Belden PS5E and separate the faceplate from the Belden Outlet. 7. Pass the cable through the cable management portion on the Belden Outlet, and then begin wiring. 8.
