Hello World, This year, I have decided after a long journey of going back and reviving this website, and using it as a knowledge drop of all things that I have learned over the years. I will be going ahead and attempting to blog at least once per day, in an attempt to get anything and all of knowledge out on paper. Well, today is Jan 1st. Happy New Year to everyone, family, friends, acquaintances and random internet people, as you matter too. First thing I will explain, is my background history: I went to College. You know those silly colleges that told you, 'Hey, take our course, we can get you a job in your field?' Well, as everyone expected, it did actually happen. I didn't start working immediately in my field, and had to work hard to get where I am today, such as working from one call center to another, to working a technical role in a call center, to then getting enough customer experience that I can start working in a technical specific job, then once I had ...

Hello World. :D  Okay, here's the low down. Currently, I'm in the middle of a worldly transition. I'm taking and forwarding all emails over to Gmail (So if I don't reply back for some reason, its probably lost in translation.) Also, as far as my home website. Well, guess what I decided due to unexpected issues, I now have to reformat and get it back up and running again but using IIS instead of a LAMP server. Hey World. Well, today is Thursday, long weekend coming up for all Americans, me included thank heavens. (Long weekend I mean.) Hopefully the development of my server will be complete by Monday. Also, I managed to get my Sega Genesis hooked up and roaring last night. Man was Sega some fun way back in the day compared to now. Even managed to get my fiance to play... now thats a feat :) In other news, strongest phone alive made by Land Rover and Sun, and the US sets up multiple band Emergency Radio . Hello World.  Today is Canada Day for all us Canadians. :) Well, I found one of the great wonders of the World today. A Sega Genesis :P And Sonic 2, and boy I cannot wait to play that. All things considered. Last time I played it, was at " least " 8 years back. On a technical note. I have arranged a day on this weekend to Install, Implement and hopefully maintain my new website. :) I do believe I will be installing as mentioned, (K)Ubuntu desktop edition (Sorry Gnome, I Good news also today for all Bell/Telus users, as per the 2010 Winter Olympics, Bell and Telus is going to be implementing a new network to match and compete with fellow Wireless providers Rogers. Hmm. Well got paid today, from one hand to another. Like always :P Good news. MCITP showed up on my M$ documentation. So now I am an MCITP, and lovin' it. :) Hopefully next goal is to try Linux+/Security+. Unfortunately, thats going to take a while. I have alot of studying to do in the mean time, and as mentioned. I am still working on the new site. Was looking into possible ways to set it up all yesterday, and I think a Ubuntu Desktop, configured with a LAMP server, and then with an addition of a good FTP client, I think we'll be set. Then i'll setup the website using drupal, get all these lovely posts moved over from both mine and One Handed Gamer Review's Blogs, and then from there... only time will tell. Took the Test this morning at 9am, and guess what I passed. Just barely. 700/1000. So, now here's the plan for this week. Trying to get either my PC that is currently at home last time I checked, running Windows Server 2008, (Probably isn't now.)  into a Web Server that hopefully will be the new home to two domains. This one, and a fellow collegue, One Handed Gamer Review ; But don't worry you faithful fans, lol. We'll be continuing to post on our normal sites until web development is complete on ours. :) While we're on that note, any ideas for possible website designs, or anything would be greatfully appreciated.  Until then, So long children...

Well, seems all is good. Got my proper studying material, heading off to relatives early so we can get the computer reformatted as mentioned in a few previous posts. Got both 60-620 and 60-622 eBooks. :) and, planning for a long night of studying and formatting.  So, on that same note, I can't wait for Monday to prove 'em all wrong and come out smelling like a new Rose. (Hopefully.) Will only be back to my typical roles as Malware Fighter, and Generic Software guy as of probably Tuesday. I'll keep you posted, so for now...  So long children...

Finally Friday, free again. Got my Motor running for a wild weekend...! Well, enough Country. Back to Business. Good News Children, re-writing my Vista on Monday. :) And this time damnit I'm gonna pass. And new news Children, for those interested in the Windows 7 Release Candidate, and also interested in possibly taking the certification. IT IS OUT. It has been out since the first of the month, but its all just been hush hush. Currently though, there are no media/books to study with (Hmm, wonder why?) I'll keep you posted on that. Speaking of Windows 7, Did you happen to see this yet? Its the Prices that currently are suggested and implemented for Windows 7 Releases.

I think these are my plans for the weekend: Server Configuration: DDNS: (Dynamic Domain Naming Service) http://www.no-ip.com/services/managed_dns/free_dynamic_dns.html FTP: (File Transfer Protocol) http://www.wikihow.com/Set-up-an-Ftp-Server-on-Windows-Xp-Professional Note: Need Firewall opened on port 21 at router for that to work. Web: (Drupal Website) http://drupal.org/requirements New PC Stats, as a B-Day Present. Know it ain't much, but it works. Compaq Evo :) Specs Drivers   Note. Will be posting a guide with Screenshots on how to setup an FTP Server on a Windows XP (Or Vista) haven't decided yet, Machine. (May be easier on Server 03.) Then from there, configuring and using DDNS, and setting up a website with Drupal . So long children!...

Hey World. Delema. Failed the Certification, now I'm in the middle of trying to re-schedule the certification and move my current certification that was scheduled for Exchange on the back burner, and take a re-write on Monday. And guess how much I failed by. 30 POINTS... What the hell?!  So, guess i'm studying all weekend for the vista certification again. Time to review back over the eBooks and prove 'em all wrong. Here's the funny thing though. Paper says I failed by 30 on one part, out of two. (Passed Second.) I go to Prometric to reschedule, it states that I've passed the certification. Go to Microsoft, they state that nothing is there... Hmm, Weird eh? Really have no clue whats going on. Probably call them later and find out. Cya later children...

Well everyone. Today is "Hump"day, or Wednesday. One thing I hate about Wednesday, the next day is Thursday. The day of my certification. I hope I'm well prepared, and I do believe that I will be doing great. (I hope.)  In other news. Exchange is probably booked for the following Monday, once again. I'll let you know how that goes. Also, last but not least. I got a present for a special someone thats having a birthday over the weekend, and I have to set it up, to make sure its good to go for that. So... Great start to a good day, Outlook was busted. And Couldn't seem to get it fixed. Managed that it was just a checkmark. Doesn't everyone hate those little checkmarks... :( On a different note. Thursday is my Vista Certification, I'll let ya know how that went. Also, due to the Second chance time running out, and due to my wonderful school that I went to, I now have another certification to study for before my M$ certification becomes invalid. Yay Exchange... *sighs* It's going to be a long next few days. Btw, if i'm not posting. That's probably why.

Hello Everyone, Well. Birthday went good, minus the Rain. Today's Monday, back to work. :) I have just picked up two "Moleskin-ish" books today, in which I will be possibly writing a review in the future for. Will keep you updated.  Other pretty cool applications Snag-It : (30 Day trial, then its 49.95$) Absolutely the best program hands down to write documentation with, and perfect for screen shot capturing. Its easier to use than MS Paint. Definitely a use for those in the document writing world. Process Explorer : ( Freeware ) Not for the non-tech savy. Process Explorer shows all processes that Task Manager may not show, also goes full into detail as to what .dll's are being held up by certain processes (Very good for fighting malware). Also, allows you to see certain programs that seem to stick there even after you kill them, very good when used in Sync with Autoruns. Autoruns : ( Freeware ) Once again, not for the non-tech savy. Autoruns allows you to see alot...

Hmm, Good question. I think Plans for the weekend are going to involve a Birthday Party, and then some hard studying for my 70-621. (MCITP:Enterprise Support Technician), which I have next Thursday. Haven't been feeling the best recently, been strucken with the flu. I will be posting more PC related items, and items of interest within the next few days. Here's a few things that caught my interest: Windows Live Mesh : Basically a Remote Console for your Home, Work, and Virtual PC. Very cool and practical application. 3.7/5 for a relatively new BETA program that M$ released. Keep up the good work Windows Live. Avast! : Personally, one of the best Anti-Viruses I've used in a long while, although if your running an old PC (Anything lower than a p4, with less than 1 GB of ram.) I wouldn't suggest it. It autoscans in the background, it pre-scans before downloads even initiate, and looks for all those badies that you wouldn't want running around in your PC. 4.2/5 since, ...

Hello one and all . I know it doesn't seem very interesting currently, but guess what. This is your one stop shop for all things Malware, Windows XP, and Vista related.
